NIMC Upgrades Diaspora NIN Enrolment Platform for Enhanced Service Delivery


The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced the successful upgrade of its Diaspora National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment platform.

It said the upgrade will deliver a seamless, robust, secure, efficient, and more effective NIN service to Nigerians living abroad. “As part of the rollout, all NIMC-licensed Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) have been on boarded onto the upgraded system and undergone intensive training to ensure optimal use and management of the platform.*

According to the Commission, all Diaspora FEPs are required to obtain and activate their NIN enrolment licences on the upgraded system within the next forty-eight (48) hours. Nigerians in the Diaspora may access enrolment services from compliant FEPs once activated.

The Commission however, apologised for any inconvenience caused during the upgrade process and has set up a dedicated service team to address any issues related to Diaspora enrolment.

It advised all affected applicants to contact: nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng for prompt assistance.

Meanwhile, the Commission affirmed that NIN enrolment continues uninterrupted at all centres in Nigeria, staying that applicants can locate the nearest enrolment centre via the NIMC website: www.nimc.gov.ng.

With this development, Nigerians at home and abroad can also modify their NIN data v via https://selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng.
