Peace Corps felicitates Akume, Gbajabiamila on new appointments

Prof. Dickson Akoh, National Commandant of Peace Corps of Nigeria has felicitated Senator George Akume and Femi Gbajabiamila on their new appointments as Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chief of Staff (CoS) respectively, to President Bola Tinubu.

This is contained in a statement issued and signed by King Peterhot, Director of Media and Publicity, Ambassador Dickson Akoh Foundation and made available in Abuja on Monday.

According to the statement, Akoh is confident that Akume’s wealth of experience in governance would assist Tinubu in advancing the Nigerian project.

The National Commandant of the Peace Corps also believes Akume possess the credentials to assist Tinubu handle the complex socioeconomic challenges facing the country as demonstrated in positions he held inter alia.

Akoh acknowleged that the President’s appointment of Gbajabiamila as CoS was a reflection of his promise to feature youths in his administration, adding that both appointees were duly capable.

“President Tinubu in his usual ingenious manner, understands the numerous challenges ahead and the need to bring capable hands to the table in other to foster national unity amongst ethnic nationalities

“The Founder of Peace Corps of Nigeria and President of Ambassador Dickson Akoh Foundation says their appointments are not only well deserved but a true reflection of reward for hardwork.

“Akoh believes in purposeful synergy and seizes this opportunity to express his readiness to collaborate with government authorities to advance the cause of peace, security and empowerments of youths,’’ the statement read.(MAINSTREAM/NAN)
